WANNA partners with Maison Valentino to launch virtual try-on for clothing

WANNA announced the launch of a clothing virtual try-on (VTO) pilot in partnership with Maison Valentino - the first luxury brand to offer ready-to-wear VTO in the WANNA demo app.

Continuing its exploration of immersive technologies, Maison Valentino launches a clothing VTO pilot project with WANNA and presents a curated selection of men’s upper-wear pieces from the Valentino Urban Flows Fall 2023 collection in the WANNA Wear app. Additionally, customers can try on the ValenTie - from the Black Tie Fall/Winter 2023-24 collection, available for exclusive pre-access on Valentino’s e-commerce.

WANNA’s Clothing VTO can be integrated across the value chain, from product design to marketing, wholesale, D2C e-commerce, and retail. WANNA’s proprietary algorithms help to achieve a high level of realism in textures and materials. The precision of fitting and tracking technologies is enhanced when using selfie mode.

The experience is available in the WANNA Wear app as a free download on the App Store. Once users have downloaded the app and gone through a quick onboarding process, they will enter the fitting room and see a selection of upper-wear pieces. Users can try on the items virtually, take photos, and share them via messengers and social networks. The app allows users to use any iPhone position: use a rear camera to get a full view of the virtual outfit in the mirror, use the camera in selfie mode, and observe every detail of the clothes. Additionally, the WANNA Wear app provides an option to visit Valentino’s website and directs the user to the product detail page of the selected product.
